March solicitations for Buffy and Willow

11 12 2012

So, ComicBookResources has posted a couple of hours ago the March solicitations for “Buffy the Vampie Slayer Season 9 #19” and for “Willow: Wonderland #5”.
Nothing yet for Angel & Faith, I guess it will come out later today or tomorrow.
Also, the cover and solicits for Buffy’s Season 9 Volume 3: Guarded Paperback is out, but we’ve seen that already, with the gorgeous cover drawn by Jo Chen.

The Siphon is loose and gathering power after a brutal brawl with Buffy, Illyria, and Koh. But there are bigger things. More important things. Real terror greets Buffy as soon as she returns to San Francisco, where friends and family await her with troubling news.
• Executive produced by Joss Whedon!
• Season 9 continues!

Willow’s search for magic has led her to some strange worlds with mysterious creatures, fantastical spells, lost love, and new friends (as well as enemies). As her journey speeds toward its end, Willow lands within a rather morbid landscape where the greatest evil she’ll have to confront is herself if she’s ever to make it home again.
• Buffy Season 9 continues with Willow’s story!

So, amazing cover of Illyria, while a defeated(?) and sad Buffy on the variant one. I thought we were going to get at least another cover with Dawn or Xander in this arc but I was wrong it seems.
So it also seems that throughout almost the whole arc Buffy will be away from SF, somewhere fighting with Illyria and Koh against Severin.
While the friends (Billy, Devon, Dowling and maybe roommates) and family (Xander and Dawn) are fighting their own fights there, informing Buffy about it once she returns.

As for the Willow covers, fantastic ones, implying that somehow Willow comes ack with magic. She seems to fly in the skies of a city, not in the Wonderland.

Nothing yet for A&F. My guess is that Spike is on the cover of it, and since the last issue if his mini has been delayed, they don’t want to spoil it yet.
